I bought this candle not know what to expect as I have never used essential oil candles before. It has a spa-like smell that is really fresh and quite beautiful. It was packaged well. No plastic was used so I recycled it all. Burns with a lovely flame and I think I am a convert. Great idea for a gift – or treat yourself!

Beneath the cardboard packaging, this candle is stylishly wrapped in black tissue paper and, as you unwrap it, you get a whiff of an exotic scent.
The candle is in a simple, screw top jar with plain labelling. I associate lavender with relaxation but, combined here with the ylang ylang, you get a tangy sharpness which is also invigorating. I think the two scents together work well giving a balance between sweet and sharp. With the screw top lid, you can shut the fragrance away after use.
